Meet The Staff! Academic camp staff NJ Loves!
Tuesday – Camp Director
My name is Tuesday and I’ll be Camp Director. I have my B.S. in forensic science with a concentration in criminalistics and recently graduated with my MS in forensic science with a concentration in molecular biology. This will be my 3rd summer at Centenary Summer Scholars! My favorite color is teal, as you will soon see, I enjoy both D.C. and Marvel comics, and I’m always up for a good science experiment. I also have a pretty fun sock collection. I’m super excited to start this year and meet the students and hope they enjoy their classes and all the fun activities we have planned
Colleen – Forensic Science Teacher
Hello! My name is Colleen and I will be your forensic science teacher at Summer Scholars this year. I am a forensic scientist and soon you will be too! I attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice and received my BS in forensic science- molecular biology (DNA and other bodily fluids) and a minor in computer science. Although I am extremely excited to show you all of the fun and gory aspects of forensic science, I promise to keep things light and cheery with adorable pictures of my puppy along the way. We will be working with everything from blood typing to fingerprinting, and gunshot residue testing to footwear casting. I’d like to brag that we’re the extra fun hands-on course here at camp, especially with all of the field trips that the other classes want to join. But hey, we’re here to learn and have fun. After all, this is summer camp! I look forward to seeing all of you soon! July is right around the corner 🙂
Gianna – Fashion Design Teacher
This is my second summer here at the camp. I had such an amazing experience last year and can’t wait for this one to be even better! I’m from Atlantic City and will actually be graduating from Centenary this spring with a degree in fashion design and merchandising . I have been sewing since I was 7 years old and I haven’t stopped since. Fashion gives me the opportunity to express and create what I wish existed as a form of art. While attending Centenary I have been able to experience different aspects of the fashion industry from participating in New York Fashion Week to interning at Cosmopolitan Magazine. Fashion is such an amazing industry that allows you to celebrate your individuality and creativity and I can’t wait to see what fun designs we will create in class! See you all soon!

I have been riding horses since I was 5 and I have worked with all different livestock animals from cows to chickens. I am excited to be a part of Centenary University’s Summer Scholars program where I can show and teach everyone what possibilities there are in the veterinary science industry. From dealing with small house pets to livestock and exotic animals, there are so many different and exciting opportunities in your future. Looking forward to meeting you all!
Emily – Vet Science Teacher
My name is Emily. I am a May 2017 graduate from Centenary University, with a degree in Equine Studies, a concentration in Equine Science, and a minor in Biology. I have lived in Germany since I was 4 years old, so I have gotten to travel to over 20 different countries. I have always loved horses, ever since I was a kid and started taking riding lessons with my best friend. I think camp this summer is a great opportunity for students to see what it is like to live and take classes on a college campus. As for me, I am very excited to meet and get to know all of the kids, and to share what I have learned since attending Centenary. I am ready for a kicking summer!
